A day on my plate (with our HYPOXI Master Trainer)

If there’s one person in the HYPOXI headquarters office whose eating and exercise habits we are all envious of, it’s our HYPOXI Master Trainer, Liz.

Liz has worked at HYPOXI as the National Training and Operations Manager for 5 years and has a figure to die(t) for! We asked her exactly what her diet consists of alongside her exercise regime, which of course includes HYPOXI sessions!

MORNING

6:30am. I wake up and straight away get in my walking gear. I don’t feel hungry at that time but I drink a cup of herbal tea before leaving the house. I go for a 30 minute power walk to the park with Dukie my dog and my partner, Ash.

7:30am. Post walk is when my appetite starts up! I prefer to go for a protein based breakfast as it makes me feel full very quickly and for a good few hours.

RECIPE

Ham omelette: 1 x egg, a couple of slices of ham, a piece of fetta cheese and chopped basil. I also drink a big glass of water.

MID-MORNING

10:30am. It’s around this time that I start to get a bit “peckish”. I prepare myself a big cup or 2 of “yerba mate tea”. This full of goodness tea (antioxidants and vitamins C) has no calories and has the power to pick me up. Then I have a piece of fruit like a mandarin or and apple.

AFTERNOON

12:30pm. I eat at my desk and this is a very social time at the office. I bring my lunch from home and most of the time I prepare a salad chopping and mixing whatever vegetable I have in my fridge with tuna or beef or pork. After lunch I go for a walk to the nearest park with Dukie for about 10 minutes to get a bit of sun!

EVENING

6.30pm. I go to the gym 3 times per week to do weights. After a day in the office nothing better doing a weight session at the gym. The session is no longer than 40-45 minutes and includes 3 upper body muscles exercises, 3 lower body muscles exercises, abs and lower back and stretches at the end. Every 6 weeks I do 2 weeks of HYPOXI as maintenance for cms loss around my lower stomach and skin tone. I use the HDC and L250 3 times a week in the middle of the day.

8:30pm. It’s around this time that I prefer to eat dinner. My partner Ash and I like spending time cooking and catching up with the day’s activities. We use the barbeque a lot as we do like our beef but also because we always keep some left overs to use the day after in the lunch salad.

RECIPE

BBQ corn beef and veggies: Buy a piece of beef (500 grams) and make small cuts all over the top and staff it with a garlic and chopped rosemary or parsley. Then rub some salt all around and it is ready to go to the BBQ. If you don’t know how to use the BBQ then you can roast in the oven for 45 minutes with pieces of different vegetables like eggplant, Brussel sprouts and purple carrots.

Naughty treat: Fruit salad is always an absolutely great way to stop sugar craving. Frozen mix berries with a tub of yogurt And the ultimate naughty healthy treat is a shot of scotch after dinner (hey don’t judge me, is low in carbs!)
