Recipe of the Month

Cottage cheese has long been relegated to the realms of bland diet food.

Dolloped on a lettuce leaf or dry rice cracker – it is little wonder that most people only identify cottage cheese as anything but boring.

The fact of the matter is, we simply cannot overlook Cottage Cheeses’ high protein content!

With one serving of low fat cottage cheese, containing a scant 2% fat and 16 grams of protein it is a highly satisfying and super skinny snack.

And, as a Hypoxi user – it is SUPER low in carbs, containing as little as 4 grams of carbs per serving.

Moreover, its portability factor (an essential component of anything I like to purchase) is on par with a tub of yoghurt, tin of tuna or hard boiled egg.

And far more interesting….

The beauty of cottage cheese, is ironically in its ‘blandness’.

Just add one flavorsome ingredient, according to your whims, and you have a snack tailored to your taste.

Feel like something sweet? Stir in some honey, low sugar jam or Stevia.

Want something savory? Chop up some chives, add them to the cheese and spread along slices of smoked salmon or good quality ham and roll into pinwheels.

Dying for chocolate? Mix in a chocolate protein powder for extra bang for your buck!

And so it is in this vain that I present to you a dip, worthy of note.

Perhaps, one of the most overlooked aspects of dieting is the social aspect.

With the ensuing heat, Summer BBQ’s are reaching a peak – the last thing you want to do is be the girl with the glass of water.

Yes, we all want to lose weight fast, however there is little point looking killer in your bikini if you only have you and your mirror to tell you how good you look

Entertaining and socialising needn’t be hard if you want to share the wonder that is food without the worry that is weight gain.

Take a stab at whipping up this quick, high protein, yummy dip, serve with crudities and bring it along to your next social gathering.

Sexy, slim and social?

Absolutely!
