In the leafy inner city suburb of Edge Hill, one of Cairn’s oldest and most popular suburbs, sits a new HYPOXI studio filled with the most modern exercise technology in the world. The co-directors of the brand new HYPOXI Studio Cairns are former House Rules contestants Maddison & Lloyd Wright who represented QLD in the Channel 7 hit show last year.
Maddison gained first-hand experience of HYPOXI as a client at the Townsville HYPOXI studio in October last year. Starting out with little knowledge of HYPOXI, Maddi said she “started to see results after her second week of sessions, with improvements in skin tone and overall wellbeing”. During her 12 session treatment package Maddi “fell in love” with HYPOXI after seeing targeted centimeter loss from her already petite and athletic frame. Maddi’s HYPOXI journey sparked a desire to explore opening her own studio in Cairns; “an opportunity to help others feel the way HYPOXI made her feel”.
With the sale of their home in Townsville which was renovated in the 2014 series of House Rules, Maddi & Lloyd relocated to Cairns to introduce HYPOXI to North Queensland. Obesity rates in Cairns are at an all-time high, costing the Cairns community $35.6 million a year. Maddi & Lloyd saw an opportunity to pioneer the targeted weight loss market in the area by opening the first HYPOXI studio in the area, leveraging their media profile to educate and reshape the population of Cairns.
