Hailing from the sunny shores of Australia’s Sunshine Coast, Anna Mendes a 30 year old mother of two, is HYPOXI’s latest success story with a difference!

A former Australian representative swimmer, Anna has always followed a very active lifestyle. Even with two beautiful girls under the age of 3, Anna prioritised her time to regain her pre- birth fitness and strength. After competing in the Cairns Ironman, where Anna placed 2nd in her age group and 8th overall, Anna qualified for the Ironman Championships in Kona, Hawaii where she continued to shine, finishing 12th overall.

In the lead up to Hawaii, Anna’s Pilates teacher recommended HYPOXI for its ability to encourage better circulation in the lower extremities of the body, so she began attending sessions at Core Control Rehab & Fitness in Cotton Tree. HYPOXI became a vital tool to Anna’s road to success, enabling active recovery and muscle relief.  Indeed for Anna, HYPOXI was an integral form of low impact exercise, allowing her to train smarter not harder.   “I was putting in some big efforts on the bike and run and this helped get the lactic acids out of my muscles and help my body recover for the next session. I would try and use the machines 2 times a week. However, if I had it my way and wasn’t restricted with time I would use it every day.”

For anyone who thinks they don’t have time to exercise, Anna is a glowing example of hard work and consistency. In Anna’s own words, “make time to exercise no matter how busy you are. The self satisfaction exercise it gives you is priceless”.
